Quotes and pricing
Local moves are billed at an hourly crew rate with a two-hour minimum, and travel time is included in that rate. The rate, the crew size and the minimum are agreed before move day. A quote is an estimate based on what you describe to us; if the job turns out to be materially bigger than described — more rooms, more stairs, a longer carry — the hours will reflect that, and we will tell you at the time rather than at the end.
What we move
We move household and office goods within Colorado. We take upright pianos with a four-mover crew and a $200 surcharge, safes to 250 lbs including stairs and to 400 lbs on the ground floor, and gym or shop equipment to 400 lbs on the ground floor.
What we do not move
We decline grand pianos, safes and equipment over 400 lbs, assembled pool tables, hazardous materials, flammables, ammunition, live animals, plants across state lines, and cash, jewellery or documents of unusual value. We do not cross state lines, we do not run a warehouse, and we do not haul junk.
Valuation and liability
In Colorado a household goods mover provides valuation, not insurance. The default level of liability is $0.60 per pound per article. Higher valuation may be available — ask before move day if you want it, because it cannot be added afterwards. Items you pack yourself are covered only for damage caused by our handling, not for packing failures.
Booking and cancellation
Bookings are confirmed by phone or e-mail. If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us as early as you can — same-day cancellations mean a crew that has already been staffed for your job.
Payment
Payment is due on completion, at the rate quoted. We do not add fuel surcharges, stair fees or other charges invented at the curb.
Delays
We schedule arrival windows, not exact minutes. Traffic, weather, building elevators and the previous job can move a window. We will keep you informed. Colorado weather occasionally makes a drive unsafe with a loaded truck; in that case we will reschedule rather than take the risk.
