Agreement for Moving Services
1. Open Communication and Information Disclosure
Providing accurate and complete information about your move is essential for ensuring an efficient and seamless moving experience. Origin Movers requires customers to disclose all relevant moving details, including but not limited to:
The size and type of items being moved.
Potential obstacles or access limitations at pickup and drop-off locations.
Specific packing or assembly requirements.
Any specialty items requiring extra handling or equipment.
Unsanitary conditions
Failure to disclose critical details may result in service delays or additional charges. Open communication helps us prepare with the right resources and expertise for a smooth moving process.
2. Hourly Moving Services
Origin Movers LLC provides hourly moving services. Please inquire about pricing and availability.
3. Travel Fee
A non-refundable travel fee is required at the time of booking to secure your service. This fee covers:
Scheduling moving trucks with certified providers.
Fuel costs and mileage under full-moving services.
Per cubic foot calculations under interstate moving services.
This fee ensures our team arrives on time and prepared for your move. Rescheduling is allowed up to 20 calendar days from the original service date (subject to availability). Rescheduling within 48 hours of the scheduled service is subject to our cancellation policy, and applicable cancellation fees will apply.
4. Rescheduling Moving Services
Customers may reschedule up to 20 calendar days from the original service date, subject to availability. Rescheduling within 48 hours of the move is subject to cancellation fees. This policy ensures we can efficiently manage our schedule and accommodate all customers.
5. Specialty Items – Fees & Disclosures
Certain items require additional fees due to weight, size, or special handling. Inquire about specific pricing.
Standard Appliances:
Basic installation is provided (e.g., connecting appliances to existing electrical or gas lines).
We are not licensed electricians or plumbers and cannot perform advanced installation.
Any modifications to electrical or gas lines must be completed by a licensed professional before our team arrives.
Exercise Equipment:
Rates vary based on weight, dimensions, and assembly/disassembly requirements.
Equipment over a specified weight limit may be limited to single-level staging only at our discretion.
Security & Gun Safes:
Safes exceeding 200 lbs. are limited to single-level relocation.
Approval for moving safes is at the owner/operator’s discretion based on weight and dimensions.
Oversized/Overweight Furniture:
Items 150 lbs. and above may incur additional fees.
Oversized furniture includes, but is not limited to, pianos, safes, and large sectional sofas.
Fees will be disclosed before service begins.
6. Additional Trips
Additional trips are subject to a separate fee per trip. Inquire for pricing.
Same-day additional trips are subject to availability and operating hours.
Additional trips are optional and will be scheduled only upon approval.
7. Specialty Items Disclosure
Specialty items require special handling, equipment, and expertise. Fees will be disclosed before service.
If specialty items are not disclosed prior to service, we may refuse to move them.
Last-minute additions of specialty items may incur extra fees.
8. Cancellation Policy – Origin Movers
Customers may cancel services up to 48 hours before the scheduled moving date without incurring any charges.
Cancellations Within 48 Hours
If a cancellation occurs within 48 hours of the scheduled move, a cancellation fee will apply. Additionally, any travel fees paid at the time of booking will be forfeited per our travel fee policy. The estimated total cost of the move will be charged to the credit card on file.
Full-Moving Services: A cancellation fee equivalent to 1.5 times the hourly rate of the scheduled service will be charged. Hourly rates will be outlined in the Agreement of Moving Services.
Interstate Moving Services: A cancellation fee of 20% of the total estimated cost will be charged, calculated based on cubic feet, mileage, and fuel consumption.
Last-Minute Cancellations
Any cancellations or rescheduling requests made after hours (between 6 PM – 8 AM) will be classified as last-minute cancellations.
Since our teams are scheduled in advance, last-minute cancellations cannot be adjusted on short notice. The minimum hourly service rate will be charged based on the originally scheduled service.
9. No-Show Policy
Customers are expected to be available at the scheduled time and location. If our movers arrive and are unable to begin the service due to the customer's absence, a 100% charge of the minimum hourly service amount will be applied to the credit card on file.
This policy ensures we can maintain efficient scheduling and compensate for reserved team members and equipment.
10. Agreement for Moving Services
By paying the travel fee, you acknowledge and agree to the Terms of Service outlined on our website, email, direct messages, and phone conversations. These policies include:
Pricing and scheduling details.
Liability and damage policies.
Cancellation and rescheduling terms.
